Journal of Research Applications in Community Service https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/JaRCOMS <p><strong>Journal of Research Applications in Community Service (JaRCOMS)</strong> merupakan journal penerapan riset dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM). Jurnal ini terbit empat kali setiap tahun, yaitu edisi Maret, Juni, September, dan Desember. Dipublikasikan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri. <em>Focus</em> dan <em>Scope</em> jurnal meliputi semua hasil pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang berbasis riset. The activity was conducted at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand, involving approximately 20 students enrolled in Indonesian language courses. The implementation method adopted an experiential learning approach through interactive presentations, culinary demonstrations, food tasting sessions, and cultural exchange discussions between lecturers and students. Indonesian traditional snacks introduced during the activity included brem, banana sale, rengginang, tempe chips representing the diversity of Indonesian culinary heritage. The results of the activity indicate that participants responded positively and showed increased understanding of Indonesian culinary culture while being able to practice Indonesian vocabulary related to food and taste. This community service activity aimed to strengthen mothers’ knowledge and awareness regarding helminth infection prevention among toddlers through health education and in-depth discussions conducted at Posyandu Kemuning A in the Ratu Jaya Community Health Center area, Depok. This community service activity involved health education on helminth infection prevention for four mothers of toddlers through interactive sessions and in-depth discussions conducted in December 2025. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that most mothers had implemented clean and healthy living behaviors in their children, including toilet use, handwashing, footwear use, nail hygiene, and administration of deworming medication. However, these practices were not carried out consistently, particularly handwashing and washing feet with soap after outdoor activities. Mothers’ knowledge regarding soil-transmitted helminth infections and the appropriate timing for administering deworming medication to toddlers was still limited. Mothers play an important role in shaping children’s hygiene behaviors. The methods used included training, mentoring, and hands-on practice in the use of digital learning media. The results of the activity showed an improvement in teachers’ understanding of digital literacy concepts, skills in using online learning platforms, and ability to design technology-based learning media. This was reflected in the positive responses of the teachers toward the training materials and practical sessions provided. The teachers stated that the activity offered new insights and inspiration in facilitating more innovative, interactive, and Education 4.0-oriented learning. The implication of this activity is the enhancement of teachers’ skills in optimizing digital literacy to support engaging and high-quality learning, while also equipping students with 21st-century skills. This community service activity aims to increase the interest of students at SMK Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung in learning physics, particularly in the subject of electromagnetism. This training uses PhET Interactive Simulations, which allow students to visualize phenomena such as electric charge, interactions between charges, electric field lines, and magnetic field concepts interactively. The implementation methods included material delivery, software introduction, and hands-on simulation practice. The results of the activity showed that students were more active, enthusiastic, and engaged in the learning process. Based on the data from the student learning interest quetionnaire, the result show that 11,11 % of student have a very high level of learning interest and 88,89 % have a high level of learning interest. Thus, the average score for student learning interest is 76,67, which falls into the high category. This indicates that the use of interactive simulations is effective in increasing students’ interest in learning. The community faces challenges related to poverty, limited access to formal technical training, and vulnerability to market fluctuations. The objective of this intervention was to enhance the livelihoods and financial resilience of local farmers by providing targeted mentoring and assessing the economic viability of their current practices. The implementation method involved direct mentoring, technical training on farm management, and the application of standard agricultural economics metrics to a representative farm maintaining a flock of 3,500 laying ducks. The intervention resulted in improved knowledge of cost management, biosecurity, and operational efficiency among the participating farmers. Furthermore, the economic analysis served as a crucial tool for empowerment, demonstrating that the enterprise is highly profitable. Findings showed that for every 1 riel invested, the farm generated 4.50 riels in revenue, with a break-even threshold of only 14,810 eggs against an annual output of 960,000 eggs.
