Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in Megale Village, Kedungadem District, with the main targets being the managers of the Merah Putih Cooperative and the Etawa goat breeders group. The problems faced by the partners included limited managerial and leadership capacity within the cooperative, as well as the low competitiveness of Etawa goat products due to the limited sale of pure milk with its distinctive goat odor. The method used was participatory mentoring through training, discussions, and hands-on practice. For cooperative managers, mentoring focused on strengthening managerial and leadership skills to improve institutional governance. Meanwhile, Etawa goat breeders implemented product innovation by utilizing goat milk as an ingredient in a new melon-flavored drink, thereby reducing the distinctive goat odor and increasing consumer demand. The results of the activity showed an increase in the cooperative managers' understanding of management and leadership, as well as the creation of an innovative melon-flavored Etawa goat milk product that has the potential to increase the economic added value of breeders. Thus, this activity was able to make a positive contribution to strengthening the cooperative institution while supporting the diversification of livestock products in Megale Village.
