The research methodology used is Experimental Designs with Random Assignment sampling. The population in this study were 10 grade XI students of SMK 45 Lembang, totaling 300 people. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling technique, so that 60 students were randomly taken and divided into two groups, where 30 students studied with SE-TG and 30 students studied with the conventional model. The results showed that in the Experimental group, the t-value -4.271, P Value 0.000 and in the control group, the t-value -0.410, P Value 0.681. This means that there was an increase in Self-Eficacy in the experimental group and there was no increase in Self-Eficacy in the control group. The results of the difference test show that for the Self-Eficacy variable, the Z value is -3.190 with P Value 0.001. This means that SE-TG learning has a better influence on Self-Eficacy than the Conventional Model of students at SMK 45 Lembang. For further research, it is very interesting if the concept of the Sport Education Model in collaboration with Traditional Games (SE-TG) can be applied to other physical education materials such as athletics, small ball games, gymnastics and games in the concept of movement (locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative) so that the research results from this concept become more complete.
Shela Ginanjar, Samsudin Samsudin, Taufik Rihatno, Oman Unju Subandi Copyright (c) 2025 Citius : Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5187 Thu, 25 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Strategic management of edupark tourism school development and educational tourism https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5788
This research is motivated by the increasing need for learning innovation that is relevant to the demands of the 21st century as well as local government policies that encourage the strengthening of educational tourism in schools. Sekolah wisata is seen as an effective, contextual learning model, and has the potential to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. This study aims to analyze the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of Tourism school programs in two elementary schools in the city of Surabaya and formulate a strategic management-based development model that can be replicated. The research method used a multi-site qualitative approach involving two schools as a sample. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies, while analysis was performed using interactive models. The results showed that the success of Tourism schools was supported by visionary leadership, teacher creativity, strong external collaboration, and regional policy support such as restrictions on out-of-town study tours and Adiwiyata programs. However, the evaluation process is still administrative and has not used standard instruments so it has not been able to describe the impact of the program comprehensively. The conclusion of this study concludes the need for the preparation of a Strategic Evaluation Matrix for tourism schools and recommends local governments to establish standardized performance indicators to strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and program sustainability.
Indri Ribbut Aprilla, Amrozi Khamidi , Mohammad Syahidul Haq , Muhammad Sholeh , Kaniati Amalia Copyright (c) 2025 Citius : Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5788 Sat, 20 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Study of character development and achievement of wrestling athletes through structured education and training: an autobiography study https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5062
The sport of wrestling requires a combination of strong physique, good technique, and mental toughness, making it one of the most challenging sports. This study uses a narrative qualitative approach with an autobiographical study method. This study focuses on one main subject, namely the author herself, Rizma Ayu Putri Pamungkas, a national wrestling athlete and student of the Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Malang. The research design used is narrative-descriptive, namely the chronology of life experiences, interviews with informants, document observation, thematic coding, reflection and interpretation. Research results. shows that experience as an athlete not only shapes achievement, but also forms a strong, disciplined, and responsible character. Interpretation of the narrative shows a strong relationship between a structured training system, social support, and ongoing personal development. Athletes are not only judged by medals, but also by their ability to manage stress, injuries, and social and academic pressures. This study shows that achievement in wrestling, especially by female athletes, is the result of synergy between structured physical training, strong social support, and formal education that supports the cognitive development and character of athletes. Further research is recommended to include more subjects from various backgrounds to expand the generalizability of the findings.
Risma Ayu Putri Pamungkas, Siti Nurrochmah Copyright (c) 2025 Citius : Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5062 Fri, 26 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Clinical assessment of overuse injury risk in office workers participating in weekend tennis activities https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5257
This study examines the correlation between tennis activity and overuse injury risk among office workers, a population increasingly involved in high-intensity weekend sports despite predominantly sedentary weekday routines. Using a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 112 office workers aged 25–55 years who regularly played tennis. A structured questionnaire and physical assessment were used to evaluate injury incidence, tennis activity patterns, and occupational physical activity levels. The results showed a statistically significant association (p < 0.05) between the frequency and intensity of weekend tennis and the prevalence of overuse injuries, particularly in the shoulder, knee, and elbow. Office workers with low weekday physical activity and inadequate warm-up routines exhibited a higher risk of injury. These findings highlight the mismatch between limited baseline fitness and abrupt physical exertion, contributing to musculoskeletal strain. The study emphasizes the importance of continuous conditioning, proper warm-up routines, and injury-prevention education tailored to recreational athletes in sedentary professions. Future research should explore longitudinal designs, incorporate more detailed biomechanical or clinical assessments, and evaluate intervention-based programs to better understand causal mechanisms and effective prevention strategies for overuse injuries in weekend athletes.
Rivo Christian Kutanggas; Yuswanto Setyawan Copyright (c) 2025 Citius : Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5257 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The effect of brain gymnastics and body gymnastics on improving cognitive function in the elderly: a holistic approach https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5685
Aging is associated with cognitive decline that affects memory, attention, and executive function, prompting interest in interventions such as Brain Gym and body gymnastics. This study employed a quantitative quasi-experimental design involving elderly participants aged 60 years and above to examine the effects of these exercises on cognitive performance using standardized assessments, including the MMSE and task-specific cognitive tests. Interventions were delivered for 20–30 minutes, three times per week, and data were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests or ANCOVA. The findings, supported by recent literature, suggest that both Brain Gym and body gymnastics may contribute to improvements in cognitive function by enhancing neural coordination and promoting better cerebral blood flow; however, considerable heterogeneity in intervention types, durations, outcomes, and study quality limits the strength of these conclusions. The evidence should therefore be interpreted cautiously, and further high-quality randomized controlled trials are needed to verify these effects. Limitations include incomplete statistical reporting in previous studies, potential publication bias, language restrictions, methodological variability, and small sample sizes across the included literature.
Abdillah Zaman Qomaru, Noortje Anita Kumaat; Heri Wahyudi, Roy Januardi Irawan Copyright (c) 2025 Citius : Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5685 Mon, 29 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The effects of plyometric hurdle hopping and box jump training against men's ability https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5793
This study aims to determine the effect of hurdle hopping and box jump exercises on men's volleyball smash skills in extracurricular students of SMK YPI Tanjung Bintang in South Lampung Regency. This study aims to examine the relationship between maternal education and maternal occupation with the nutritional status of students at SMP Negeri 35 Surabaya. Using a quantitative ex post facto correlational design, the research involved 257 eighth-grade students selected through Cluster Random Sampling. Data on maternal education and occupation were collected using categorical questionnaires, while students’ nutritional status was measured through anthropometric assessments and classified using BMI-for-age indicators. The Gamma correlation test was employed to analyze the relationship between variables. The results show considerable variation in students’ nutritional status, with categories ranging from undernutrition to obesity; however, the statistical analysis indicates no significant correlation between maternal education (p = 0.181) or maternal occupation (p = 0.806) and students’ nutritional outcomes. These findings differ from several earlier studies suggesting that maternal characteristics influence children’s dietary habits, nutrient intake, and overall health behaviors. The absence of significant relationships in this study suggests that adolescents’ nutritional status may be influenced more strongly by broader lifestyle, environmental, or school-related factors rather than maternal background alone. Overall, the results highlight the need for more comprehensive, multi-sectoral nutrition interventions that involve families, schools, and communities to better support adolescents’ growth and development.
Andini Zhafira Shabrina, Faridha Nurhayati Copyright (c) 2025 Citius : Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5934 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The effect of push-up and pull-up exercises on shooting performance of extracurricular handball players https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5858
Handball is a sport that requires a combination of physical, technical, tactical and mental skills. One of the fundamental techniques that determines success in handball is shooting ability. This study aimed to analyse the effect of combining push-up and pull-up exercises on the shooting ability of extracurricular handball players. An experimental method with a pre-test–post-test control group design was employed. The participants consisted of 12 extracurricular handball players from SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi, selected through purposive sampling and randomly assigned into two groups: an experimental group that received push-up and pull-up training and a control group that followed regular training. The intervention was conducted over six weeks with three training sessions per week. Shooting performance was evaluated using indicators of throwing distance and shooting accuracy. The results of paired sample t-tests indicated significant improvements in both throwing distance (t = 16.52) and shooting accuracy (t = 14.77) in the experimental group (p < 0.05), accompanied by large effect sizes (Cohen’s d > 0.80). Furthermore, independent sample t-tests revealed significant differences between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.05). These findings demonstrate that the combined push-up and pull-up training program is effective in enhancing shooting performance among extracurricular handball players.
Firmannudin Firmannudin, Yopi Hutomo Bhakti, Guntur Yulisatria Copyright (c) 2025 Citius : Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5858 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Development of augmented reality-based learning media for health material in physical education, sports and health https://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/citius/article/view/5731
This study aimed to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning medium for health topics within Physical Education (PE) subjects at the vocational high school level.
