scientific literacy through the implementation of inquiry-based learning. The research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were 38 students from classes 5A and 5B. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, where class 5A served as the experimental group and class 5B as the control group. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test consisting of 20 questions. The study results show that the average score of the experimental group on the pretest was 58.15 and on the posttest was 66.05. Meanwhile, the control group scored an average of 56.31 on the pretest and 56.05 on the posttest. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a t-test, yielding a significance value of 0.04, which is smaller than α = 0.05 (sign. < 0.05). Statistically, this condition rejects H0 and accepts H1, indicating a significant difference in the improvement of scientific literacy between the two groups. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry-based learning effectively enhances students' scientific literacy. This method has proven to yield better results compared to conventional teaching approaches, making it a relevant alternative teaching strategy in today's era.
2025-08-08T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Devi Gustina Sari, Miftahul Mahrushttps://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/jurmia/article/view/4073Madrasah Sebagai Pusat Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia: Kontribusinya terhadap Pembentukan Karakter Bangsa2025-06-22T02:46:49+00:00Muhammad Dandi Saputromudaro88@gmail.comKiki Cahya Muslimahkikicahyamuslimah@gmail.com
Madrasahs, as Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, play a strategic role in shaping the character of future generations. However, they face several challenges, including limited resources, insufficient teacher training, and negative public perceptions. This study aims to explore the contribution of madrasahs to character education and to identify the challenges they encounter. A scientific review method was employed through a thematic analysis of relevant literature on character education in madrasahs. Data sources include journal articles, books, research reports, and policy documents published within the last six years. The findings indicate that madrasahs significantly contribute to the internalization of Islamic values through curriculum integration, humanistic teacher–student interactions, and religious and social activities. Nevertheless, challenges such as inadequate facilities and limited teacher training persist, particularly in small private madrasahs located in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions. While many madrasahs have undergone substantial transformation in infrastructure and human resources, disparities remain. Therefore, context-specific innovative approaches are needed, including facility improvements, teacher capacity building, and shifts in public perception, to optimize the role of madrasahs in supporting character education and enhancing their image in society.
2025-08-08T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Dandi Saputro, Kiki Cahya Muslimahhttps://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/jurmia/article/view/4389Pengaruh Model Project Based Learning Terhadap Kreativitas Siswa Kelas IV MI Malihatul Hikam2025-04-29T02:05:34+00:00Moh. Perennialism is grounded in the belief in eternal, universal truths embedded in religious teachings, classical ethics, and cultural traditions. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving fourth-grade teachers and students. The findings reveal three key practices: (1) Jumat IMTAQ (Friday Faith Development) through congregational dhuha prayers, which foster discipline and spiritual awareness; (2) the 3S culture (smile, greet, salute), which enhances mutual respect and social harmony; and (3) group prayer before class, which strengthens humility, spiritual focus, and reliance on God during learning. These practices function as concrete applications of perennialist values, contributing to the development of religious character, responsibility, and moral integrity in early education. The results demonstrate that perennialist values can be consistently and sustainably internalized through daily school activities. This study contributes to the advancement of science and technology (IPTEK) in character education by offering a philosophical and pedagogical model for integrating timeless values into early childhood education policy and practice.
2025-08-08T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Kamelia Nobella Yuniar, Ninin Indira Rossydah, Bagus Rahmad Wijayahttps://journal.unugiri.ac.id/index.php/jurmia/article/view/5057Penerapan Problem Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa MI Akidah Akhlak2025-08-16T16:08:27+00:00Okta Rosfianiokta.rosfiani@umj.ac.idRatih Salsabila Salsabilaratihsalsabila93@gmail.comNajwa Putri Khaeraninajwaputrik71@gmail.comMuhammad Rafly Nur Rachman raflirahman514@gmail.comMuhammad Arielmhmdariel281005@gmail.com
The lack of internalization of values in daily life is influenced by pupils' poor critical thinking abilities in comprehending the morals and religious values in depth.
