Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan media sosial Instagram sebagai alat untuk penyampaian informasi publik oleh BBPOM di Jakarta pada tahun 2023. Dalam era digital saat ini, media sosial telah menjadi platform penting untuk komunikasi dan diseminasi informasi. Dari total populasi 274,9 juta jiwa penduduk Indonesia, 170 juta merupakan pengguna aktif internet dan media sosial, menunjukkan potensi besar untuk memanfaatkan platform ini. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis SWOT untuk menilai efektivitas penggunaan Instagram dalam menyampaikan informasi terkait keamanan obat dan makanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Instagram merupakan alat yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan edukasi publik, dengan jumlah konten, bentuk konten, jenis konten, jumlah like, comment, dan engagement yang dianalisis selama tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan kompetensi SDM, pemanfaatan dukungan lintas sektor, dan peningkatan sarana prasarana untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan Instagram sebagai media penyampaian informasi publik.
