Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the main aspects of coffee agroforestry restoration and agrotourism development. This study was conducted in Secang, Kalipuro Village in Banyuwangi Regency. This study shows that the restoration of degraded coffee agroforestry can be achieved by involving various potential local flora species found in the agroecosystems on the slopes of Mount Ijen. Two coffee species, Coffea canephora and Coffea liberica, require rejuvenation and population increase in coffee agro-ecosystems. Species with economic value, including Durian, Avocado, and Mangosteen, are two species desired by the community as part of coffee agroforestry restoration. Restored coffee plantations have the potential to become agro-tourism attractions by considering several aspects, including: (1) the authenticity of the structure and composition of the plantation, (2) the richness of flora and fauna as a resource and interpretation program, (3) connected with the local community, and basic tourism resources (i.e., accommodation, facilities).
