Autentikasi Jati Belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia Lam.) pada Produk Herbal Komersial Menggunakan Metode KLT dan HPLC

Latar Belakang: Autentikasi bahan herbal dalam produk komersial merupakan
langkah kritis untuk menjamin kualitas, keamanan, dan efektivitas produk,
terutama pada produk tanpa label yang jelas di mana informasi komposisi dan
standar mutu tidak tersedia bagi konsumen Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan
mengautentikasi kandungan jati belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia Lam.) dalam produk
herbal komersial menggunakan pendekatan chromatographic fingerprint.
Metode: Tiga sampel produk komersial (S1, S2, S3) dianalisis menggunakan
Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT) dan Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi (HPLC),
kemudian dibandingkan terhadap bahan baku autentik sebagai acuan. Hasil: KLT
menunjukkan S1 memiliki pola noda paling mendekati bahan baku, S2
memperlihatkan kemiripan umum dengan satu noda dominan tambahan,
sedangkan S3 berbeda signifikan dari segi jumlah dan distribusi noda. HPLC
mengonfirmasi temuan ini secara konsisten — S1 memiliki pola kromatogram
serupa pada waktu retensi 2–3 menit, S2 menunjukkan kemiripan parsial disertai
puncak tambahan dan variasi intensitas, sementara S3 menampilkan profil berbeda
secara mendasar dengan puncak dominan pada waktu retensi 9–10 menit yang
tidak ditemukan pada bahan autentik. Simpulan: Kombinasi KLT dan HPLC
terbukti efektif sebagai strategi autentikasi bahan herbal, dengan KLT sebagai
skrining awal dan HPLC sebagai konfirmasi beresolusi tinggi. Diperlukan
pengawasan mutu yang lebih ketat terhadap produk herbal tanpa label serta
penelitian lanjutan menggunakan LC-MS atau NMR untuk identifikasi senyawa
secara definitif.
