Abstract

This article discussed teaching and learning strategies to read the Qur’an in the Qur’an Education Park (TPQ). TPQ is a non-formal institution specifically for children learning to read the Qur’an. For this puspose a strategy is needed in order to be able to read the Qur’an in accordance with the rules of recitation so that later it can read the Qur’an well an fluently. This Islamic education was created with the aim of helping children who were minimal in reading the Qur’an while in formal school due to the lack of Islamic religious educations teachers and low Islamic religious education teachers. So it is lees able to guide students in religious education. TPQ Nurul Huda is a TPQ located in the village of Bugel in Jepara Regency. From the beginning of this TPQ the parents had already flocked to put their children in school in the TPQ, so the number of the students grew rapidly from year to year. The purpose of this study was to find out how the strategies of the teachers in increasing the interest in learning to read the Qur’an of children in TPQ Nurul Huda Jepara. This study uses a qualitative approach with the interview method. The location of the study was carried out in the Bugel Village of Jepara district. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the strategies of the teachers in increasing the interest in learning to read the Qur’an of children in TPQ Nurul Huda Jepara namely by the Yanbu’a method whose learning is adapted to the branch and must be able to imitate like a teacher.
