Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of learning methods in science subjects in grade V of MIS Miftahul Huda 2 Palangka Raya. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with research subjects being grade V science subject teachers at MIS Miftahul Huda 2 Palangka Raya. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews to obtain information regarding the application of learning methods in the science learning process. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that teachers apply various learning methods, namely the lecture method, Project Based Learning (PjBL), and collaborative learning, which are adjusted to the characteristics of the material and the needs of students. Teachers also involve students in experimental activities, environmental observations, discussions, and the use of simple learning media, so that learning can take place more actively and meaningfully. However, teachers still face several obstacles, including limited facilities, the need to improve professional competence, and mastery of more innovative learning methods. Therefore, the application of varied learning methods needs to be supported by improving teacher competence and providing adequate learning facilities, so that science learning can take place more optimally.
