PELATIHAN ANALISIS BUTIR SOAL PILIHAN GANDA BAGI GURU DI SEKOLAH INDONESIA KUALA LUMPUR

The ability to construct good test items is crucial for teachers, and therefore, teachers must possess this skill. In addition to being able to construct test items effectively, teachers must also understand and be skilled at analyzing test items to ensure they meet the requirements. The objectives of this PKM are: (1) to provide information on the strengths and weaknesses of teacher-designed test items, (2) to improve teachers' competency in constructing test items based on correct principles, and (3) to improve teachers' competency in analyzing test items. The implementation methods used were: (1) material delivery to explain the principles for constructing multiple-choice test items and their analysis, and (2) training and mentoring to guide teachers in constructing and analyzing multiple-choice test items. The results of the activity indicate that: (1) teachers learned that test items must go through item analysis procedures, (2) teachers' understanding of constructing test items according to correct principles, and (3) teachers' understanding of analyzing test items using manual formulas and applications. Based on the training participant questionnaire responses, it was found that this training provided teachers with an understanding of test item analysis. Training participants are able to identify answer choices that function as distractors effectively.
