Jurnal Statistika dan Komputasi (STATKOM) is an open-access journal (e-journal) published by the Statistics Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri (UNUGIRI). STATKOM publishes the article based on research or equivalent to research results in Applied Statistics and Computation on various scopes related to Computational Statistics and Data Analysis. This journal is published twice a year (June and December) in Indonesian and English. It started to publish in June 2022 (Vol. 1 No. 1 June 2022), and each number contains five articles. STATKOM was registered with E-ISSN 2963-0398 (online media) and ISSN 2963-038X (printed) for publication in December 2022 (Vol. 1 No. 2 December 2022) and the subsequent publication. In early April 2023, STATKOM received Garuda indexation to fulfil the first requirement for Sinta indexation in the next few years. This edition of the STATKOM Journal presents five research articles that explore a range of applied statistical and data science methods. Sentiment analysis using Naive Bayes with Chi-Square feature selection is applied to BRImo user reviews to assess responses to app updates. Clustering techniques (K-Means and Fuzzy C-Means) with SW/SB validation are used to group West Java regions based on employment indicators. Quantile regression with bootstrap is employed to analyze factors shaping happiness in the World Happiness Report 2024. Singular Spectrum Analysis is implemented to forecast weekly rice prices in East Kalimantan. Finally, conjoint analysis and logistic regression are used to examine consumer preferences and purchase decisions for Mie Gacoan products.
